After months of speculation and consultations, the Federal government announced in April their intention to legalize recreational marijuana use by July 1, 2018. While medical use of marijuana has been legal for a few years now, this additional category of marijuana users means that employers will likely have to learn more about the drug, the different types of users, and whether each type of user needs to be accommodated under human rights legislation.
